Mid-Prairie used a high fly ball to shallow right field from Chris Miller to walk-off a RVC game against Bellevue 6-5.
The game was played at Mount Mercy University's baseball field in Cedar Rapids.
Miller popped it up to right field and a mix up between the first and second basemen allowed the ball to drop and Colton Hobbs to score the winning run.
Mid-Prairie led 5-1 headed to the fifth inning, but a pair of errors helped Bellevue load the bases with zero outs and eventually score four runs in the inning.
Mid-Prairie struck first in the game with two runs in the third inning. Brad Tornow drove in Monte Slabaugh with a triple. Cale Robertson followed that up with a single and drove in Tornow.
They added two more runs in the fifth on three straight hits. Tornow singled, Robertson doubled and Aidan Rath singled to make it 4-1.
Robertson finished the game 2-3 with 2 RBIs.
Tornow was the winning pitcher, going seven innings and striking out 10. He gave up six hits and one earned run.
Mid-Prairie is now 10-7 on the season. Their next two games will be in non-conference action. They host Williamsburg Tuesday and Benton Community on Friday.
