Both area wrestlers to make it to day three of the state wrestling tournament finished their days with sixth place medals.

Isaac Boucher was pinned by Noah Bandstra of East Marshall in the first period of the fifth place match. Boucher, a Mid-Prairie junior, was the first medalist for Mid-Prairie since 2017.

After losing his opening match, Boucher won three straight matches to put himself on the medal stand. Two of his three losses during the tournament came from Dalton Chipp of Hampton-Dumont. Chipp finished in third place.

Brady Hahn, a Highland senior, finished out his high school wrestling career with his first state tournament medal. Hahn dropped both of his Saturday matches, finishing in sixth place.

The fifth place match was a 7-3 decision for Michael Egan of MFL. Hahn took an early 2-0 lead, but Egan was able to get back points in the final period to win.
