Lone Tree sees impressive turnout

Editor:

As mayor-elect, I want to thank Sandy and Kice for their long service to the town, Eric Morris for running and to the 217 voters who registered their preferences Tuesday. Lone Tree managed 26% turnout, up from the last few municipal elections and far ahead of the rest of the county, other than Oxford, which turned out an impressive 44% of its electorate.

I look forward to the challenge of tackling core infrastructure projects, including sidewalks, streets and drainage issues that have long plagued the community. I also hope to get more folks involved, and to that end I’m listening whenever anyone has something to say. I invite anyone who has thoughts to email me jon@modestholdings.com, phone or text 307-828-1004 or drop by the house, I’m generally home. And, of course, I invite everyone to attend council meetings, they’re the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
