A 20-point fourth quarter guided Mid-Prairie to their fifth win of the year and the season sweep over West Liberty.
With a 30-30 tie going into halftime, the Golden Hawks knew they’d have to come out and put together a strong effort on both ends of the the floor against the Comets. They did that and outscored West Liberty 35-23 in the second half of the 65-53 win.
Cale Robertson led the offensive charge for Mid-Prairie with 21 points, a season-high for the junior. Tom Butters wasn’t far behind, adding 16 points on 7-11 shooting and grabbing 14 rebounds.
Brad Tornow added four points, but supplemented the offense with five assists and four steals.
