The Huskies and Comets will play at a neutral location on Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader at Burlington Notre Dame.
In their first matchup, Highland run-ruled Cardinal 10-0 on June 5. In the win, The Huskies put up 13 hits and Jacob Leonard pitched a no-hitter, striking out eight.
Cardinal’s starting pitching staff has included Jentry Arbogast (7 starts, 4-3 record) and Ryan Clark (5 starts, 2-1 record) this season. They face Clark, who has a 1.62 ERA in the first matchup. Arbogast has 56 strikeouts and a 2.13 ERA in 42.2 innings this year.

Iowa Mennonite will take on conference foe New London in the opening round.
The Tigers are led by Darius Whaley with a .404 average and Shae Summerfield at .422. The two have combined for 15 extra-base hits, more than half the Tigers total this year.

Since starting 6-10 the Lisbon baseball squad has won 15 of their last 16 games.
Freshman Tyson Scott is 6-1 in 10 starts this year with an ERA of 1.29. Senior Cobe Siebrecht is 5-1 in six starts.
Lisbon is led by Scott at the plate with a .375 average.
Lone Tree is 11-10 this season behind three wins on the mound from both Keegan Edwards and Avery Knock. Edwards is 3-2 with a team-low 2.92 ERA.
Avery Knock has a .484 average and has six triples this season, tied for second most in the state this year and most in Class 1A.
Both teams have had some struggles in the field, with Lisbon at 2.4 errors per game and Lone Tree at 3.5.
With a win, Lone Tree would play the winner of Midland versus Springville on July 16 at Calamus-Wheatland.
