Eli Ours

Eli Ours looks a runner back to first from the mound.

Iowa Mennonite started off on the wrong foot, but didn't let that both them in an 8-4 win over New London.

The Tigers loaded the bases with zero outs in the first inning, getting two runs out of the ordeal. Iowa Mennonite came back in their half of the inning and scored three runs to take a lead.

They wouldn't let go of it the the rest of the way.

Blake Bontrager got the start and Eli Ours came on in relief for Iowa Mennonite.

Iowa Mennonite eventually won 8-4, moving on to the next round.

They will face off against Highland at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Burlington Notre Dame. The winner of that game moves on to the district final against either Pekin or Notre Dame.
