The Iowa Mennonite girls brought home three top-10 finishes at the Central College girls indoor meet this week. 

Freshman Leah Bontrager ran a 2:43.84 in the 800-meter run to place seventh of 70 participants in the race. 

The other two top-10 finishes came from senior Suzanna Yoder in the 200 and 400-meter dashes. Yoder was ninth in the 200 at 28.28 and eighth in the 400 at 1:03.64 to place eighth of 105 runners. She also placed 18th in a field of 228 in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.63. 

Beyond the top finishes, a pair of the Iowa Mennonite girls team members set new personal bests at the first meet of the season including Mackenzie Gutierrez and Ava Hughes. 

Gutierrez ran a new personal best in the 60-meter dash a 9.13 seconds to place 62nd of 228. Hughes scored a personal best in the 400-meter dash at 1:39.31. 

Gutierrez, Bontrager, Yoder and Esther Hughes grouped up in the 4x200-meter relay to place 19th of 63 with a time of 2:01.24. 

Ainsley Shaw finished in 25th in the 3000 at 19:32.14. Sarah Miller threw a long of 27-feet in the shot put to place 41st of 98. Hughes jumped to a distance of 13-feet 4-inches in the long jump to place 31st of 66.
