Heated settled over the Windmill Ridge Campground. An occasional breeze offered some relief, but not much.

The sweet sound of bluegrass music was the only other thing to break through the sweltering temperatures.

Some music came from the main stage of the Kalona Bluegrass Festival Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, but music also wafted between the campers and recreational vehicles scattered around the campground.
